Excellent Sydney Data Miners event

Good audience at the Sydney Data Miners meet up. Excellent questions from the floor. Thanks to Will and the Datarati team.

And several audience reviews.

The same presentation was also delivered at Tonkin’s Marketing ROI Forum on Monday afternoon (the 28th).

The reviews averaged out at a pleasing 8.5 out of ten. Thanks to all those who voted.

Great job last night at the Data Miners event. thanks for the condoms. it did raise an eyebrow with my wife …
Love the comments about Gartner predictions — CMO’s will spend more on IT than CIOs. I can already see that happening all over.
You opened my eyes a little to the idea of always sending to a landing page before content. I’d not considered that – i assume this is a Marketo form and I wont be asked to do this again until I delete my cookies.
On the subject of cookies — what is your take on the European legislation ..? Will it effect us lots, if/when/should AU do the same thing ?
Great job, btw. I’d like to present your stuff to my senior management team – is there any chance of either a .pptx or .pdf …?
    thanks again

Hi Graham. Glad you found the presentation worthwhile. I have just added a slideshare link to the post. Am also happy to send it to you direct, if you wish. Regarding cookies, yes EU legislation could impact if something similar is adopted and adapted by the Australian Government. For the moment, it’s not an immediate Australian-market issue. And I don’t see Marketo and the other marketing automation players doing anything different in Europe. Let’s see. Thx: Mitchell

PS: Here’s how the Financial Times addresses the issue:
